MERIDIAN, Idaho — Thursday evening, hundreds of people came out to Meridian Dairy Days at Storey Park for free ice cream from Reed's Dairy, and family fun.
“I love coming out to Dairy Days because it’s just such a good opportunity for the community to come together. You just have such different groups of people; From people that have grown up in this industry, to people where this is their first introduction of it,” said Courtney Simon, a Meridian FFA student.

Keeping agriculture at the center of the fun, the Old MacDonald's Farm features goats, sheep, donkeys and more are ready to teach attendees about the importance of farming.
Aubree Workman is a Meridian FFA student who raises several pigs and cows. Beyond her barn she loves teaching others about her passion.
“Anybody needs to learn about agriculture. There’s a disconnect between non-agriculturists and agriculturists and I think by putting on this petting zoo it is the way to break that barrier” said Workman.
Whether you love learning about the dairy industry or eating ice cream, Dairy Days has something for everyone in the community.
