GEM COUNTY, Idaho — On Saturday, Middleton/Star Firefighters shared to social media that their crews aided the Gem County Fire-EMS with a grass fire.
The blaze spanned 140 acres, and was contained quickly.
Fire crews remind the public that cooler weather does not always mean vegetation is safe from fire risks, noting that the foothills remain "extremely dry and receptive to any ignition source."
