BOISE COUNTY — Boise County residents voted against a permanent tax levy to fund stipends for volunteer firefighters/EMT's for the Garden Valley Fire Protection District.
57.93% of voters opposed the permanent levy. It would have required a supermajority to pass.
The $186,150 per year special tax levy was estimated to cost $15.50 per $100,000 of taxable assessed value per year.
