ADA COUNTY, Idaho — A Boise man convicted of one felony count of Lewd Conduct with a minor under 16 has been sentenced to 20 years in prison, with 3 of those years fixed and 17 years indeterminate.
According to a release from the Ada County Prosecutor's Office, 46-year-old Ryan Dewayne Jenks admitted to "molesting the victim on several occasions in 2016." The victim was 12 years-old at the time.
During the sentencing, District Judge Lynn Norton said any lesser sentence would undercut the severity of the crime committed.
“What happened to this victim was devastating, and caused significant emotional harm,” said Ada County Prosecutor Jan Bennetts. “We commend Ada County Sheriff’s detectives who helped ensure justice for the victim.”
