MERIDIAN, Idaho — If you love fishing, today was a great day to hit the water!
The ponds at Kleiner Park were quite popular today to celebrate Free Fishing Day!
Anglers hit the water to take advantage of a unique opportunity to fish without needing a license. The southwest Idaho Resource and Development Council celebrated the day and their 20th year anniversary by hosting a free kids clinic at the park to teach children how to fish.
Throughout the year the IRDC gives away more than 50 fishing rods to local kids, thanks to donations from their sponsors.
