BOISE, Idaho — School may be out for the summer, but there are still unpaid school lunch balances.

A Treasure Valley company called Five Star Food Express wants to help pay off those balances, so students can get a clean slate. Zach Marble with Five Star Food Express says the company saw a need and knew they could help.

"Being in the food business we believe that people should have good food to eat and once we hear that the schools were having not neccesarily trouble with this, but there was a need, we wanted to be involved and see what we could do to help," Marble said.

Customers who use the Five Star Food Express app can now donate to the student lunch fund to help clear balances in the Boise, Nampa, and West Ada School Districts.

The company is offering free delivery codes to anyone who donates $25 or more.
