EMMETT, Idaho — An Emmett woman is back home this week, celebrating her first big bowling win on the road.

KT Simpson spent the summer traveling and competing in national bowling tournaments. Her family owns and operates KT's Lanes in Emmett, even training their pet golden doodles how to bowl!

This month, KT scored her first big win at the Orlando Regional Tournament.

"The tour is very grueling, we bowl all day long. These tournaments are long and exhausting, both physically and mentally," said KT. "Being on live TV you have to bowl when they say to bowl, you have to do everything when they say to!"

And this family is not done yet. The group is getting ready to hit the road again, heading to North Carolina next week for the players championship.

"It was crazy. Going out this year, I didn't really have any expectations, I guess. I just kind of wanted to see where I stood, and so to win, that was definitely a reward for all my hard work that's paying off," KT tell 6 On Your Side.

Tune in Sunday at 10 p.m to hear more about the touring experience from KT and her family.
