Traffic was snarled for about an hour Tuesday afternoon along Interstate 84 in Caldwell, after a semi and a sugar beet truck collided.
The accident happened shortly before 12:30, according to an Idaho State Police dispatcher, between exits 28 (10th Avenue) and exit 27 (Centennial Way).
At least one person was transported to a local hospital. The extent of their injuries was not immediately available.
The crash caused the concrete median barrier to be shoved into the oncoming lane. Initially, two eastbound lanes and all westbound lanes were shut down. But about ninety minutes later, the westbound lanes were reopened.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
