NAMPA, Idaho — The Lactalis Cheese Plant in Nampa has expanded and is looking for future cheese makers.
The plant is growing fast, and just added a fresh mozzarella plant with 30 job openings--entry level to supervisory.
Local educators were invited to tour the plant Thursday in an effort to spread the word about the cheese industry.
The recently opened plant employs 150 people. Lactalis has 750 total employees in Nampa, which is the company's largest plant in the United States.
Most of the milk the Nampa plant uses comes from right here in the Treasure Valley.
