KUNA, Idaho — Kuna police are currently investigating a reported stabbing of the Cowgirls nightclub on Jan 1.

A press release from Ada County Sheriffs Office says Kuna police were called to Cowgirls just after 1:00 a.m. on Jan. 1, with reports of a man who was bleeding from a stab wound to his thigh stumbling out of the crowd, telling bouncers he was hurt.

Ada County Sheriffs says the man was transported to a local hospital, where he was treated for his wound and released.

The press release says the man told Kuna police he did not know who stabbed him or exactly how it happened. The release says witnesses later told Kuna police the man got into a few altercations with other bar patrons earlier in the night. The release goes on to say the nightclub was crowded, and no one saw how the stabbing happened or who might have done it.

Investigators are currently reviewing video surveillance and have interviewed several bar patrons, but haven't identified a suspect.

Kuna police are asking anyone with information regarding the reported stabbing to send an email to Let. Jared Scott at jnscott@adacounty.id.gov or call Ada County Dispatch at (208) 377-6790.
