BOISE, Idaho — Of course, Idaho is known for its potatoes.
This weekend, Boise is celebrating one of the potato's most delicious forms... the fry!
Whether they're curly, sweet, or french, Americans eat about twenty to thirty pounds of fries a year.
National Fry Day isn't until Saturday, but the J.R. Simplot Company is kicking off the third annual "fry-day" with a music, free burgers, and of course, fries.
If you're headed to JUMP downtown, you're encouraged to bring donations for the Idaho Foodbank.
The event runs until 7 PM tonight.
