Addressing a crowd of several hundred fans -– many with their phones raised to grab a rare celebrity photo –- Hollywood superstar Matt Damon appeared at the Village Cinema in Meridian Wednesday afternoon for an advanced screening of his latest “Jason Bourne” film.
Also appearing at the event was well-known film producer (and Boise resident) Frank Marshall.
Both Damon and Marshall joined crowds with a red carpet entrance and personally introduced the film in each theater.
Proceeds from the event will help fund the Capital Campaign for the new full-sized South Meridian YMCA.
"We are thrilled to be given this opportunity to host such an exciting, star-studded event," said David Duro, Y President and CEO. "We've been the beneficiaries of Marshall's film screenings in the past, which have provided support for some very important projects, like Y Camp at Horsethief Reservoir."
