A grenade found at the old Historic Strauss House by an IDOC crew caused a stir in Idaho City on April 20th, 2016.
The Boise Police Bomb Squad responded to the situation and deployed several specialists to determine whether it was live or not.
“The grenade was indeed real however it was inert meaning the explosives had been removed already,” officials wrote in a Facebook post.
The home was previously owned by a veteran before being donated to the Idaho Historical Society. The grenade appears to be a souvenir.
