NAMPA, Idaho — City leaders in Nampa are looking to boost downtown business. Now, they are asking the community and business owners to weigh in on what they would like to see happen.

The city is introducing new parking limits that will allow you to street park in certain areas for two or hour hours. There will also be ten minute parking next to the library on Third Street South and 30 minute parking on First Street South.

"I think this is a good example of how the City of Nampa is responding to the businesses, making sure that we're being as supportive as possible and responding to the growth that is happening in our area," said Amy Bowman, the communications manager for the City of Nampa.

The city is set to update parking signs around downtown to make sure each space is easy to understand this week. Educational cards showing the new parking zones will be available for code compliance officers to leave with cars parking downtown as needed.
