After more than 16,500 hours working at the Ada County Courthouse, Sunday, the courthouse dog, has retired.

10-year-old Sunday has worked for the courthouse since 2010, giving comfort and support to vulnerable victims and witnesses of crime. The Yellow Lab/Golden Retriever mix was the first-ever courthouse facility dog in Idaho.

Sunday will enjoy her retirement at home with her current handler. There will be a new courthouse dog, but when that will happen hasn't been announced yet.
