Idaho resident found dead in Mountain Home, alleged suspect in custody in Texas

MOUNTAIN HOME, Idaho — An Idaho resident is dead as what police say is the "result of domestic violence involving an estranged husband," according to a press release from the Mountain Home Police Department. On July 28, Mountain Home Police Officers responded to a home in southwest Mountain Home while investigating a missing person. The victim was not identified in the press release.

The alleged suspect, who also was not named by police, is in custody in Pecos, Texas. They are being held on a charge of Failure to Report a Deceased Person with a $500,000.00 bond.

The press release said the alleged suspect was arrested with children, who are safe.

Members of the Idaho State Police Criminal Investigations Division and Crime Scene Processing Unit are helping with the investigation. No further information is available as police are in the beginning stages of the investigation.
