CALDWELL, Idaho — Idaho Indoor BMX is back for another year of racing, but this year the BMX community is putting together some new clinics to help inspire new riders.

This year the non-profit has put together new clinics for parents, children, and people 30 years and older. We got the chance to catch up with the women's clinic.

"It's harder to get women on the track," said Holly Wick a rider from Oregon who helped out during the women's clinic. "But once we get them out here a lot of them get locked in."

We watched as 8-year-old Layla started conquering her fears on the track thanks to the instruction and encouragement of the other riders.

"We thought why not and they got bikes for Christmas and here we are; they just want to learn," said Betty Ash, the grandmother of Layla.

For the third straight year, this non-profit has put in countless hours to haul dirt into the Caldwell Fairgrounds and build a track for racing.

Next weekend Idaho Indoor BMX will host the Gold Cup and the Idaho State Qualifier.
