BOISE, Idaho — Cat lovers listen up!

The Idaho Humane Society is celebrating the Super Bowl by hosting a kitten adoption event this weekend.

The annual "Kitten Bowl" will air tomorrow on the Hallmark Channel. Adoption centers all over the country participate in the event, and more than 25,000 shelter pets have been adopted since 2014 because of the event. Kristine Scheilhaas, the communications manager for IHS, says they welcome everyone.

"When we have these special events going on, it's really fun. Sometimes people just come down to love and look at an animal and then we have others that are interested in adopting. We welcome everyone and anytime we can connect a pet with an owner, it's always a good day for us," Scheilhass says.

The adoption event runs through Sunday.
