Boise Representative Mat Erpelding is pushing a resolution condemning the armed takeover of the Malhuer National Wildlife refuge in Burns, Oregon.
In his resolution Erpelding, the House Assistant Minorty Leader, said the actions of the Bundy militia was illegal. It goes on to say the standoff is harming the local community, citing the closure of public schools. The measure makes reference to the death of Robert Finicum and the plea to deescalate the situation.
"I stand with the Governor, Speaker Bedke, and President Pro-Tem Hill in saying the rule of law must prevail," said Erpelding.
