MERIDIAN — Most doctors will tell you the first year of medical school is a bear. That's why the Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine is bringing in the dogs.

Therapy dogs are helping students deal with their hectic routines. Trainers equip the dogs to help ease a person’s worries.

"As soon as the dogs got in everyone lit up and we had people coming in from upstairs, coming out of their study rooms, just everyones here, everyone’s got a smile on their face. I mean, now its pretty lively,” said student Mike Kozdronkiewicz.

The animals are provided by a non-profit called the Go Team Therapy Dogs of Idaho.
