The ice ribbon at Indian Creek Plaza in Caldwell had it's soft opening Thursday.
There was a little bit of a delay to open because of the sunny weather in Caldwell which caused a few wet spots. That didn't stop the skating from from kicking off.
"I love the people. Everybody's so helpful having fun, you know you can tell they're all happy even though they're falling down, they're getting up and having fun with each other so it's pretty nice," said Yareli Lopez, Caldwell resident.
Winter Wonderland will kick off Friday with concerts on the stage and the area will be lit up for the holidays.
