Hundreds of local veterans looking for work met with potential employers Thursday, Nov. 9, during a job fair just for them.
More than 120 veteran-friendly employers participated in the Idaho Department of Labor's new "Hire-A-Veteran" event.
From manufacturing, to accounting and health care, a variety of positions were up for grabs.
Organizers say they hope every veteran leaves the event with employment.
"My goal is that, at least every veteran who came to any of the events in the last two days, left with employment," said Robert Feliciano, veteran employment representative. "The whole purpose of this event was to set up employers to meet veterans, talk about their skill-set, see what kind of skill-set veterans have, and for a veteran to leave with employment."
Hire-A-Veteran events took place across the state this week, including Post Falls, Idaho Falls and Twin Falls.
