Boise - The Ada County Highway District will close Hill Road between Collister Street and 36th Street on Sunday, January 10 to through traffic for the day to allow crews to repave the area where the pipe was recently laid.
Motorists will be detoured to Collister but residents along Hill will still be able to access their homes from the west. Hill Road is expected to reopen to traffic on Monday morning.
In addition, Catalpa Drive from 36th Street to Garden Center Way will be closed to accommodate the intersection rebuild beginning Monday, January 11 into August, the likely duration of the project. On Wednesday, 36th Street from Hill Road to Garden Center Way is expected to close until May. Detour routes will be posted, and flaggers are on site to help guide traffic.
Motorists should find alternate routes whenever possible, and delays can be expected.
The new intersection, including the dog bone shaped roundabout, is expected to be complete by August.
