The grass on Hewlett Packard's Boise campus may be dead, but it's all part of the plan as the computer and technology company is working to make their landscape more sustainable. Krisjan Hiner from Stack Rock Group Landscaping says, "all those old growth trees that have been there since the campus was designed and built. All those trees are going to be safe. They’re still getting water. The grass is dying obviously because of a lack of water, but we are still watering the trees and the trees are gonna be fine." Experts say seed germination will begin this fall with the new native grasses starting to grow in the spring.

The technology company is switching to sustainable landscaping.
