9-1-1 has purchased a new tool to help more people in Boise survive heart attacks: an app called Pulsepoint. It hasn't been implemented yet -- but when it is Boise could become a safer place to have a heart attack.
Boise says they are purchasing the app because it allows the 9-1-1 system to send people with the app to a victim in order to administer CPR.
That may increase the response time to the victim, and response time is key for heart attack victims: some sources say the faster someone can administer CPR, the greater the odds of survival for the victim.
