Doctors and staff at Saint Al's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit threw a party for their former patients and their families. The Harvest Party featured fun and games for the kids including arts and crafts and a free family photo session. Children dressed up in customs and got to reconnect with the staff who cared for them.
"I think it is important to recognize the struggles the families go through while they are in the NICU and also to celebrate their success as the children grow," said Margery Johnson a nurse at Saint Al's NICU.
Nursing students from local universities and high school students volunteered during the event.
