TREASURE VALLEY, Idaho — Today is a good day to pick up some ice cream! Miracle Treat Day is one of the largest single-day fundraising events for the Children's Miracle Network Hospital, including St. Luke's.

This is the 14th year of Miracle Treat Day and at least one dollar from every Blizzard sold at participating Dairy Queen locations across the United States will go directly to the non-profit organization. Children's Miracle Network provides support to kids and families at local hospitals across the country.

The funds raised go to critical treatments and lifesaving healthcare services as well as pediatric medical equipment. Facilities to ease stressful situations for kids, such as rooms designed to look like a spaceship or undersea adventure are also funded.

“On Miracle Treat Day, we harness the joy of fans visiting DQ restaurants for their favorite treat and use it to better the families and communities that we serve,” said Maria Hokanson, Executive Vice President of Marketing for American Dairy Queen Corporation (ADQ). “It’s the most meaningful fun you can have this summer."

Dairy Queen has raised nearly $150 million for local children's hospitals in the United States and Canada, where 10 million kids are treated annually. On Miracle Treat Day 2018, more than $4 million was raised for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
