It's going to be a beautiful weekend to hang out on the Greenbelt, but there is an area to avoid.
Crews started repairs to the Penitentiary Canal Greenbelt pathway today. The section has been closed for nine months, and construction crews need you to steer clear for a little bit longer.
"Boise residents, Ada county residents, we all love our Greenbelt, and we want to make this right, and we need the users to understand that we want have it open just as much as you all do. We want to be on it, and we want to maintain a good asset just as much as everybody wants to be using it," said Scott Koberg, director of Ada County Parks and Waterways
They hope to have it back open by the end of summer.
