The much anticipated grand reopening of the Idaho State Museum wrapped up today.

All weekend, folks had the chance to celebrate the newly rebuilt museum complete with food trucks, potato sack races, gold panning, and a photo booth. Organizers say the best part about the museum is that it brings people together.

"We were able to tell Idaho's story in this collaborative way, bringing people from around the state together again. Teachers, tribal members, regular citizens: because Idaho is part of their heart and soul," said Janet L. Gallimore, Executive Director of the Idaho State Historical Society.
