The Idaho National Guard announced Gowen Thunder 2021 has been postponed. The event is the Idaho National Guard's open house event and was originally scheduled for August 27-29.
The event will be rescheduled for the future. The Idaho National Guard says Gowen Thunder was postponed due to current and expected restrictions with large crowds.
"We remain strategically committed to hosting Open House events for our fellow citizens and will provide additional details when available," said a Facebook post from the Idaho National Guard.
The open house was supposed to be the second airshow the guard has hosted in the last 20 years. In 2017, around 120,000 people showed up during the weekend.
