Most teachers would probably agree -- it's hard to teach hungry students. Dietitian Dayle Hayes knows that too, and is spreading the message of National School Breakfast Week with students and educators all across Idaho.
While 655 Idaho schools — 94.8% — offer breakfast, only 57.3% of the Idaho students who are eligible to receive free and reduced-price school breakfast are currently eating it. That means about 40% of eligible children do not eat a school breakfast.
