With Valentine's day right around the corner, Zoo Boise is offering some free family fun to fill your heart this weekend.

The "Wild at Heart" event lets people of every age come out and enjoy Boise's only zoo. There were valentine's day themed attractions, like a photo booth and a make your own Valentine's Day card for your favorite animal.

Beside the animals, the event also gives families a chance to spend time together--which was especially important for some at today's event.

"Family is important- to come out and do stuff like this because we recently had a death in our family, my mom passed away February 13th of last year and this is her one year anniversary of this month and we thought it would be good to come out and do stuff as a family," said Jessica Sierra, an attendee.

In addition to this being an important event for families, it's also bringing some laughter: you can name a cockroach after someone this Valentine's season at the zoo.
