BOISE, Idaho — While many people enjoyed the Fourth of July holiday, local police departments heard plenty of illegal firework complaints overnight.
Nampa Police Department received 87 illegal firework calls from noon on Thursday into the early morning hours of Friday, July 5.
Since Sunday, June 28, there have been 169 fireworks complaints in Nampa.
Nampa Dispatch took 87 illegal fireworks calls from noon on the 4th of July through the morning of the 5th.

Since Sunday, 6/28, they’ve taken 169 fireworks complaints in the City of Nampa.
In Boise, the Ada County Sheriff's Office received 253 complaints during the holiday and the morning after.
From 12:01 July 3 to 10 a.m. July 5, ACSO dispatchers got 303 calls reporting illegal fireworks in Ada County. 253 of those calls came in on July 4 or in the early morning hours of July 5.

Over the past few days, Boise Fire was called out to three separate fires related to fireworks, along with 11 other fires that could possibly be related to fireworks.
Six were dumpster fires possibly caused by improperly discarded fireworks.
Five were small grass or shrub fires.
