Four people arrested after overnight stabbing in Nampa

Canyon County Sheriff's deputies were called to St. Alphonsus Medical Center in Nampa around 2:15 A.M. Tuesday to take a report from a stabbing victim.    The 39-year-old man was in the emergency room being treated for stab wounds to his legs.

Investigators found the man had been stabbed several times during an altercation with a woman in the 4500 block of W. Ustick Road in Nampa. The suspect was identified as 23-year-old Ashley Miranda Zuniga of Nampa.  

Deputies spotted Zuniga driving in the area a short time later and initiated a traffic stop.   Zuniga and another woman in the car, 36-year-old Jennifer Mari Scaramuzzi, were both arrested and transported to the Canyon County Jail.  Zuniga was booked for felony Aggravated Battery. Scaramuzzi was booked on two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance and one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

During their investigation, deputies also arrested two other people in the area for outstanding warrants.  Israel Salazar, age 32, of Nampa, was arrested for misdemeanor Failure to Appear.  Stephanie Flores, age 20, of Nampa, was arrested for misdemeanor Failure to Complete Community Service.

The victim was treated for his injuries and later released.  The incident remains under investigation.
