A former Nampa high school teacher has been sentenced to eleven years in jail for felony sexual battery of a minor.

Tomas Fisher was sentenced to three years fixed followed by eight years indeterminate for a total sentence of eleven years.

The judge ordered Fisher to register as a sex offender and submit DNA samples to the Idaho Database. Fisher is required to not contact the victim or her family and will not be allowed to be around females who are under 18 for the duration of his sentence.

Fisher taught Spanish at Skyview High School and resigned in July of 2015.

Police arrested Fisher on September 1st after an underage victim came forward and that the two had consensual sexual contact.
