A Boise auto dealership is auctioning Boise State University’s famous “tailgating bus” to the highest bidder Saturday.
The silent auction will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Boise Auto Clearance dealership, 5300 West Fairview Avenue, between Curtis and Orchard. The highest bidder will be announced at 4 p.m.
The bus has been featured on ESPN, as well as being voted “The Best Tailgate Bus” for 2015 and 2016.
“The current owner of the bus is ready to pass it on,” said Chris Trongale, the dealership’s general sales manager.
The 1990 custom bus has blue turf floorboards, an interior and exterior speaker system, three exterior TV mounts, and a blue and orange captain’s chair,
“It’s certainly one-of-a-kind,” Trongale stated. “Several former BSU players have even autographed it.”
“It has been fully maintained and regularly tuned,” he added.
Bids will start at $6,000.
