Hopefully you aren't under the weather, because something seems to be going around!
Medical professionals say it's too early to say if the bug going around is the flu or just the common cold. Right now, in late October, the flue activity is still listed as low in our region and across the rest of the United States.
Symptoms can present similarly with the flu and just a typical cold, but there are sporadic cases of influenza being reported. Clinics across the valley are seeing an uptick in the past two weeks--patients will come in reporting flu-like symptoms, but will test negative for the flu.
Officials at Primary Health Medical Group say they've seen quite a few patients come in with respiratory symptoms consisting of sore throat, mile headache, body aches, but the symptoms are slightly less severe than what is typically seen with influenza.
