Boise Fire Department crews responded to a structure fire in the 7200 block of South Five Mile Road early Monday afternoon.

Initial reports say the fire ignited outside a house, then flames spread to both the house and a nearby barn. “The fire caused moderate damage to the house and significant damage to the barn," said Boise Fire Department spokeswoman Tammy Barry.

Two occupants of the house were able to get out safely.

The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation.
