Faces of Hope Victim Center street party to celebrate expansion

Local victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse are getting more room to share their stories.

Faces of Hope Victim Center opens its doors to the public tomorrow.

The expansion offers a new room for self-defense and educational classes. Last year, the center helped 800 victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking with medical examinations and legal help.

The new space will also be a place for support groups.

"Each story is unique, but they all can feel a connection because that cycle of abuse is all very similar. And so they're with their peers who have been through something similar, but they're surrounded by this picture which brings them hope," said Paige Dinger, executive director of Faces of Hope Victim Center.

See the new space for yourself at the Faces for Hope street party tomorrow from 4-7pm at the Faces for Hope Victim Center, located at 417 S. 6th St. Boise, ID 83702.
