BOISE, Idaho — A team of experts, parents, community members, and The Idaho Immunization Coalition are urging everyone to make sure they're up-to-date on immunizations.

Get Immunized, Idaho hosted a digital panel discussion, sharing the health benefits of vaccines. The Coalition's Executive Director, Karen Sharpnack, says Idahoans likely have more questions about vaccines in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Featured Shot Talk panelists included Senator Fred Martin, Representative Laurie Lickley, and Dr. Carolyn Buxton Bridges who is a member of Governor Little's Coronavirus Working Group. The experts all say too many children are missing critical booster shots because of a fear of going to the doctor during the pandemic.

"We need to ensure that both children and adults are up to date on vaccines that are recommended for them. That will benefit all of us healthy Idahoans get back to work, stay at work, and help our kids be healthy at school," says Dr. Bridges, also a former CDC Disease Detective.
