Californians arrested for drug trafficking

Idaho State Police responded to an early morning rollover accident that blocked lanes on eastbound I-84, January 28, 2016.

Michael Nappi, 25, of Signal Hill, California, was headed eastbound in his vehicle when he fell asleep causing the vehicle to leave the road and flip over.

His passenger, Nicholas James Duchene, 25, of Anaheim, California was injured from the crash.

Nappi fled the scene and was arrested near the Stage Stop by the Ada County Sheriff’s Office.  He was arrested on outstanding felony warrants and leaving the scene of a crash. In addition, Nappi was charged by the Idaho State Police with trafficking of heroin, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of other types of prescription medication.

Duchene was arrested for trafficking of heroin, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of various types of prescription medicine.
