BOISE, Idaho — Every year when kids go back to school, the Boise Parks & Recreation Department opens up the Natatorium for the See Spot Splash event.

Dog owners bring their pooches to the pool and let them frolic in the water.

"It's fun and it is unique," said Laurie Pollack who brought a pair of pooches to the pool. "It is extraordinarily good, they are just having a blast."

Although the event is free, donations are accepted for the Idaho Humane Society and local dog parks.

"I think the most important thing is raising awareness of the programs that we have," said Kristy Knight of the Idaho Humane Society. "The need for community involvement, donations and the need for foster parents the more it benefits the Idaho Humane Society and the animals we care for."
