A letter obtained by 6 On Your Side claims the Meridian Chamber of Commerce is asking people to support the recall of two West Ada School Board Trustees and to contact Chamber CEO Anne Little Roberts for more information.
But has the chamber picked sides?
When 6 On Your Side contacted Roberts, she claimed she had no idea where the document came from and said she never wrote it.
The document beings with this sentence, "The Meridian Chamber of Commerce urges you to vote to recall the West Ada School District (WASD) Trustees in Zones 1 and 3 during the Primary Election on May 17th." It goes on to allege the West Ada School District Board’s “questionable behavior not only threatens the health of our existing business community, but the viability to attract new businesses that may be looking Meridian to expand or relocate.”
During our conversation, Roberts explained the board has been discussing the West Ada Recall but did not expect the board to vote until next week.
