Authorities say the westbound lanes of a major travel route across southern Idaho, closed near Boise due to multiple crashes early on Tuesday.
Idaho State Police say ice on Interstate 84 east of Boise combined with foggy conditions Tuesday morning is making for difficult driving conditions.
At least a dozen vehicles either collided or slid off the road, and that tow trucks and multiple Idaho State Police troopers were on scene.
The Ada County Sheriff's office said there were 131 crashes this morning, 38 with injuries. Twenty-six hit-and-run crashes and 51 slide-offs between Friday and Tuesday.
