MERIDIAN, Ida. — Demolition is underway at Meridian's former City Hall location. Crews started tearing the building down Tuesday and will continue for the next few days.
A four-story apartment complex is set to replace the building. The complex will hold 103 apartments, as well as plenty of new retail space.
City Council Members transferred the old building to the Meridian Development Corporation last fall, two months after accepting a proposal to redevelop the Old City Hall and nearby properties. Commercial space will take up the first floor with residential units on the top three.
The complex is set to open for business by November 2020.
