Folks in Meridian broke a sweat for a good cause Monday, Sept. 4, at CycleBar in Meridian.
Dozens participated in a charity ride for the American Red Cross Hurricane Harvey Disaster Fund.
JP Green, franchise owner of the boutique-type gym located in The Village, says a number of CycleBar's sister locations down in Texas were affected by the flooding.
"When you look at the devastation that's going on down there in Houston, you think how hard they're working to get their lives back in order, it made sense for us on Labor Day to do a little bit of work in the cycle theater to raise some funds," Green said.
Green says Monday's class was free, with a suggested donation of $10. CycleBar will accept donations for the American Red Cross through Tuesday.
The gym's goal is to raise at least $1,000 for the non-profit organization.
