The Leone Fire near the Boise Airport has grown to 1,000 acres. BLM officials say the fire is wind driven, but that crews have made "significant progress in stopping the progression of the fire."
Crews are expecting to have the fire contained by 11 p.m. tonight.

Crews are responding to a fire near the Boise Airport on Blacks Creek road.
Officials say the Leone fire is now 350+ acres. No structures are currently threatened. There is no estimated containment time.
BLM officials are responding with five engines, two dozers, one water tender, and an air attack with two helicopters and air tankers.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
