The Canyon County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim from Saturday night’s drowning at Lake Lowell as 45-year-old Michael R. Brombly of Nampa.

The cause of death has been ruled as an accidental drowning, according to a Canyon County Coroner’s Office news release.

At about 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, the Canyon County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the Upper Dam of Lake Lowell for a reported drowning.

Witnesses told the Canyon County Marine Patrol deputies that a man who appeared to be in his late forties was floating face-down in the water. Deputies located the man and and began CPR.

Medics arrived shortly thereafter, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
