A public meeting in Nampa on Monday will welcome input on proposed sewer rate increases across the city.

The estimated increase would be almost 17% or about $5 tacked on to your monthly sewer bill. City leaders say the increase is needed to improve wastewater operations, maintenance, and efforts to meet the needs of a growing community.

The scheduled increase is part of the $165 million Sewer Revenue Bond approved by voters last may.

If you'd like to share your thoughts with the City Council, you can head to the Nampa City Hall Monday night at 7:00 p.m.
