Each year, Children's Miracle Network Hospitals select a champion ambassador who is courageous and strong even when battling a serious illness.

This year's Idaho spokesperson is eight-year-old Hadley Alexander, who is battling cystinosis.

Her family has their own foundation to find a cure: Hearts for Hadley.

"What's most incredible about her is how strong and resilient she is. I think she would much rather take care of someone else than someone taking care of her. She lifts other kids up and helps kids all the time," said Hadley's mom, Marcu Alexander.

Boise State University is raising funds and awareness for the local Children's Network Hospital with their "Dance Marathon."
